Behind the Saint-Lazare train station, the bridge at Place de l'Europe offers a view of the activity of the newly constructed railway, built in 1832, which Monet famously depicted in his artwork. The square forms the center of the Quartier de l'Europe, built around the same time. The streets of this neighborhood are named after major European cities.

The Petit Palais was built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, like its neighbour the Grand Palais, on avenue Winston Churchill. It became a museum in 1902. Designed by Charles Girault, it is based on a trapezium shape and is made up of four wings around a semi-circular garden bordered by a richly decorated peristyle.

The magnificent Kursaal Santalucia Theatre, an Art Nouveau gem, is located along the seaside promenade of Goffredo di Crollalanza, overlooking the gardens of Adua square and the monumental seafront of Bari. The theatre serves a dual purpose as both a cinema and a performance space, with apartments situated on the upper floors.

One of Chieti's oldest and most iconic theatres, the Marrucino Theatre was built in the early nineteenth century, taking just four years to complete, from 1813 to December 1817. Designed by Eugenio Michitelli from Teramo, the venue was built on the perimeter walls of the deconsecrated Church of S. Stefano and S. Ignazio.

The Basilica of St. Nicholas in Bari was built in the late 11th century to house the relics of St. Nicholas, brought from Myra (modern-day Turkey) in 1087. Located within the ancient citadel, once home to the Catapan Court, the Romanesque basilica is part of a larger complex including the Church of San Gregorio, a convent, library and archives, study center, and museum.
