Le Méliès
With 6 halls, 1,105 seats, and 3,230 square meters, Le Méliès, located in the heart of downtown Montreuil, is the largest public art-house cinema in Europe.
Open to everyone, including people with reduced mobility, Le Méliès offers a demanding, dynamic, and family-friendly program: art-house films, youth screenings, reruns of cinematic classics... A dining area, children’s space, and reading corner ensure something for every viewer—from kids to the most dedicated cinephiles!
Montreuil-based architect Bernard Ropa, who designed the interior, aimed to pay tribute to the famous filmmaker with a structure featuring wood frames and raw metal elements, as well as spotlight-style lighting that evokes the backstage of a film shoot. All of this is combined with optimal comfort: ultra-comfortable seating, full LED lighting, and cutting-edge sound systems.
