Théâtre
de Saint-Maur
A true community hub, the Théâtre de Saint-Maur aims to foster connections and exchanges. Each season, it offers a high-quality, diverse artistic program that caters to all genres, disciplines, and age groups: from classical and contemporary theater to comedy, pop music concerts, classical and hip-hop dance, humor, children’s shows, creative productions, circus, and cine-concerts.
In addition to this wide array of performances, some events conclude with "post-show discussions," providing audiences with a rare and special opportunity to engage directly with the artists. Each year, this eclectic programming is further enriched by educational initiatives aimed at Saint-Maur students, from preschool to high school. For all audiences, various discovery and exchange opportunities punctuate the seasons, including philosophical discussions, conferences, exhibitions, and creative workshops.
Supported by the Val-de-Marne Departmental Council and the Ile-de-France Regional Council, the Théâtre is a vibrant cultural space. It also hosts artists for creative residencies, from which artistic and cultural projects emerge annually, fostering meaningful connections with the public.
Established in 2016 to manage the city’s theater, the Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment (EPIC) "Théâtre et Cinémas de Saint-Maur" expanded its scope to include cinematic activities in 2018. This restructuring has created significant new opportunities for cultural development, allowing the organization to operate the theater alongside the Le Lido and 4 Delta cinemas in Saint-Maur.
