The Modern Composers International Music Festival (ModComFest) returns for its fourth edition in September and October 2025 in Paris. Organised by CMDI Events, this year’s festival celebrates the visionary works of French-Armenian composer Michel Petrossian, renowned for blending ancient traditions with contemporary innovation.
Since its 2016 debut, ModComFest has become a leading platform for modern composers, showcasing talents like Joseph Vella, Krzysztof Penderecki, Tigran Mansurian, Giya Kancheli, Karl Jenkins, Alexander Tchaikovsky, Qigang Chen and Georgs Pelēcis. The 2025 edition will present Petrossian’s compositions at iconic venues, including the Auditorium du Petit Palais, the Auditorium du CRR de Paris, and the Théâtre de Saint-Maur.
Audiences will be transported into Petrossian’s world through a captivating array of performances featuring celebrated artists such as cellist Alexander Chaushian, Musicatreize, Ensemble 2e2m, Compagnie Hallet-Eghayan and conductors Roland Hayrabédian, Bruno Mantovani, and Léo Margue. ModComFest 2025 promises a unique cultural journey, seamlessly blending classical heritage with modern creativity.

I am delighted to welcome you to the fourth edition of the International Festival of Music by Modern Composers (ModComFest), entitled “Portrait of Today's Composers: Michel Petrossian” This event offers me a unique opportunity to present my work from the last ten years in the fields of symphonic music, chamber music, vocal music and ballet. This iconic festival, which has been showcasing the works of contemporary composers since its inception in 2016, will take place in the cities of Chieti, Paris and Saint-Maur in September and October 2025.
